08 Jan New Year And A Fresh Approach
As the new year has beckoned and the renewed sense of hope, ideas, wishes and dreams are alive we usually use January as a platform to wipe the slate clean, say goodbye to the year that was and welcome the blank canvas of the new. A new story, a new chapter and going into the unknown of a new year. It can be exciting and full of possibilities. It is about really being clear about the things we want in our lives and the things we want to be and have and focusing on our goals, our ideas and the people we have around us. The new year can allow you to release and let go of anything that no longer serves you or relevant in your life. Its about de cluttering your thoughts and even some of your possessions that you do use and to make room for the new. You may let go of old ways of thinking and change the way you look at things. Just a mere shift in perspective can do wonders. Like Dr Wayne Dyer said many a time. ” Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.” You may even feel lighter and free. Give yourself permission to say goodbye to things in order to say hello to new things. That can be anything. Thoughts, old clothes, household items, people, work and feelings. Change is important to evolve.
People use the new year for a cathartic cleansing. All for the greater good. The fresh approach that hopefully lasts the whole year. Set yourself monthly goals. It can even be simple things like drink more water or go to bed half an hour earlier. Something for yourself that allows you some good habits and rituals. We all want to feel good. So nurturing yourself is so very important first and foremost. New years is about embracing all that is new. We place such an emphasis on new years resolutions and have so much hope and faith for the new year. But even doing and sticking to small steps and ticking off things to do on your list one by one adds up to a lot. Use January to set your intentions and goals. Your hopes and deep seeded dreams and wishes. Be specific and don’t cut corners. Write everything you feel and want and how you see yourself at the end of 2019. See what came true and what wishes you managed to tick off. Then start again for the following January. It may surprise you when you look back on what you did and what you achieved. Life is to be lived and enjoyed. There will always be challenges and difficult moments. But it is what you do with it, how you deal with life and what you learn when you come through that ultimately counts. May your 2019 be filled with richness and happiness. May it be filled with blessings and wonderful moments. Change and move with the times. Go with the ebbs and flows of life. When you do this you live a full life. Bless. xx
