Can We Have It All?…

Can We Have It All?…

The age old question that plagues many women today. Maybe even men. More so I think for the females of today. We get bombarded with magazines and glossy photos of luxuries, the latest ‘It’ something and stories of how women seem to have it all so effortlessly and easily. We are then left somewhat inadequate within ourselves because we don’t seem to have what they have and that ugly feeling of ‘I am not enough’ begins to seep into our mind. The most important thing to do is to stop comparing and start living your life the way you want. Everyone is trying to make the most of the circumstances they have and are trying to better either themselves personally or their given situation. The first step into having it all is to stop looking at others and to start watering your own yard and plant the seeds of your life rather that look at others who seem to have it all and think that is the picture of how it ‘should be’. We are all different and are here for a purpose. Focus on what you want and what you currently have. Be thankful and more grateful. The more of this you sow the more you will reap. Organize your time and your priorities better. Some things come before others. Write a list of your most important to least important things. What is most important to you? What time do you need to devote to each thing. Seeing it on paper can give you more clarity and more understanding of where you are at, what needs to change and what is more important. This also has to do with where your values sit and what you place of importance. What is the key to having it all?. Everyone will most probably have a different answer to that depending on where they are at in their life and what is in their life. It starts first with the relationship you have with yourself. When you are ok then everything else is ok. Burning the candle at both ends is no good to anyone so self care is important. You cant care for others or your job or your home if you aren’t up to scratch. Be present in the moment you are in rather than wishing your life to be like another. You are doing the best with your life so don’t look at another persons life as you don’t know what lies behind their smoke screen. Everyone has the ability to have it all. Some areas of your life may take precedence over others during certain times but its all part of juggling. When you master the act of juggling then that is half the battle done. Most importantly, always make time, even if its a short time, for yourself. Can we have it all?. Yes we can. It takes persistence, patience, giving and taking and great organisational skill.
