Fashion And Polo

Fashion And Polo

What happens when you mix sport with an event that brings the who’s who, fashionistas, corporates and the like to one of the most talked about events of the summer calendar in Melbourne. It becomes the hottest ticket in town and you know your in for a good time. St Kilda beach pavilion turns into a scaled down Royal Ascot as you watch polo by the sunset and backdrop of the fabulous city of Melbourne. Whether it was white, colours or kaftans the look of the day was chic with a touch of  casual. What a day it was where the weather was kind and generous and allowing guests to bask in its warmth and glow. Champagne, cocktails and canape’. Mixing a well known sport with  fashion and a little glitz  goes well like a fine wine. This event being its second year has fast become the talk of the town and aims to bring fun, entertainment, fashion and networking all under the one umbrella which it did so very well. Polo events have, of late, become one of the go to places to be. To be seen, to see and to enjoy. What was once a game for the elite and horse industry enthusiast’s has slowly but surely become a go to sporting event for many on the social scene. To have a polo match by the bay is genius. Something that doesn’t require long travel times or logistics but something close with a view. Summer vibes and good times. Polo fashion isn’t hard. Dress in summer casual chic and a good pair of wedges or espadrilles and you are good to go. Accessories like earrings, necklaces and a clutch would be a staple must as that can dress up almost any outfit. A maxi dress with a nice heeled wedge shoe can look chic so effortlessly with the right accessory.  All in all Fashion and Polo have now come together to make this one night in February the place to be. It has most certainly set the tone for years to come.
