Weddings Much ?……….

Weddings Much ?……….

We have all been there. The outfits, the registry the kitchen tea gifts, the now called ‘bridal showers’, the hair the shoes… I can go on and on. Do you ever hear guys go on about weddings? Apart for the stag night I mean? It’s all us girls. It’s our princess moment of course so naturally it’s a big deal, so big that even the Duchess of Cambridge can know about it if we wanted to send her a telegram or an invite for that matter. But do we ever draw the line? It can add up and there can be lots of running around and organising. Do we really love the lead up or can it just make us tired, cranky and pretty much over it? Especially when there is more than one in any given year. I’m sure we have all been there. When there are weddings one after another. All you seem to be doing is shopping for others not yourself. I love weddings, especially when its close friends, you know everyone on your table and you know you are in for a good time. You have a great outfit with even better killer heels. Do I care about the bonboniere? No. Do I care about the center piece of the table? No. Do I care about the lighting, the band, the flowers and the mother of the bride dresse? NO. What I do care about is the food, the table I am on, the vibe, the laughter and dancing, photos and my dessert. All the little things that brides to be care about is probably a total oblivion to their guests. No sure if it’s just me but sometimes you just want to tune out. You get to a certain point at a certain age where it can be a little too much. My bestie in Sydney has been bridesmaid a record 11 times. Saying she is over it is a massive understatement. She dreads going to her letterbox. I told her to move to another country. Bless her soul. She can rest assure as much as I love her she won’t be my bridesmaid. I will save her from that. She has had more kitchen tea’s than I have hot showers.
Can you imagine a guy’s kitchen tea? More like a shed party. Registry can be at Bunnings or Masters or Bob Jane. A barbeque a keg of beer and the football in the background. Sounds good to me.
As for me …I’ll be registered at Manolo Blahnik. Just like Carrie . Lol.
